(Toch)

Android

Google Play

Toch Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 28, 2026.

This policy describes what data the game Toch for Android phones (“the game”) collects.

Who is responsible

The game is developed by the Catula studio. Developer details are listed on the game's Google Play page and on the studio website, https://catula.games. Questions about data or the game can be sent to hello@catula.games; we reply within 7 days.

What data the game collects

None. The game does not collect, store on the developer's side, or share any personal or other data of the player. It does not connect to the internet: it has no analytics, ads, online play, accounts or in-app purchases. The “Studio website” item on the About screen only opens the studio website in the phone’s browser; the game itself sends nothing. The Privacy item opens this policy in the browser the same way.

What the game stores on the player's phone

So that progress is kept between sessions, the game stores two files in the phone's internal storage, in its own app folder:

The developer has no access to these files, and other apps cannot see them. The player can delete them at any time by uninstalling the game or clearing its data in the phone settings, which resets progress and settings. All progress — upgrades between runs (sediment), an unfinished run and statistics — can also be reset from the game itself: Settings → Reset all progress.

Android backup

If the player has Android backup turned on, the system itself saves these two files to the backup of their Google account and restores them when the game is reinstalled or moved to a new phone, so progress is not lost. Google stores and encrypts the backup under its own terms; the developer does not receive it. Backup can be turned off in the phone settings.

The Share button

The Stats screen has a Share button. Only when the player taps it, the game draws a picture of their progress (the best run, shapes discovered, bosses defeated and number of runs — no name or other personal data), saves it in its own folder and opens the Android share menu. The picture and a line of text go to the app the player picks in that menu, which handles them from then on. The game itself sends them nowhere.

Google Play

The game is distributed via Google Play. Data collected by Google Play (account, purchases, installs and so on) is processed by Google under its own privacy policy; the game’s developer does not receive or process it.

Changes to this policy

If the game ever starts collecting data, this policy will be updated before such a version is released, with a new date.
